A slight deviation from the usual plethora of dub shows, one weekend back in August I took a trip down to Cranleigh village in mid Surrey to check out their annual collection of classics.

Hosted by Mark Evans, that guy from the Discovery channel that presents the ‘A Car Is Born’ series, the Cranleigh car show now in it’s 9th year attracts more than 1,300 classics through it’s gates each year. Anything goes really, from the vintage to modern day classics, it’s a good source of inspiration and motivation for certain 8 year old projects [cough] you might have lurking in the shed. The autojumble is also good for a scout around.

Definitely worth a visit if classics are your cup of tea, or cucumber sandwich. The surrounding Surrey countryside with some of the UK’s best driving roads is worth a Sunday blast alone.
