After what feels like the longest winter since records began UD 2011 creeps up and gives you a ro-sham-bo square in the balls, finally, the dub season is upon us once again, road trip anyone?

Year on year since it’s debut back in 2006, Ultimate Dubs constantly raises the bar with more show cars per square feet than any other show in the UK, and again for 2011 UD has set the standard for the year ahead. Now, I’m sure reading back through later UD write-ups I bang on about the same issues or issue every year, and that’s the rants regarding ‘cheque book builds’. You know what I mean, ‘hey I’ve just bought a spanking new A3, here’s 4k to fit some massive import alloys and an air ride system’. That’s fair enough if you have the dollar to do so, and to be honest If half of us had that kind of wedge we’d be straight down the dealers. But we all like to pick on the rich kid at school, so it’s not a show that suits everyone down to the ground, it’s always a struggle to get club members to make the trip up north to adorn the outside club display.

But hold on a minute, egos aside we’re all here for one reason alone, and it’s nothing to do with the massive piss-up on the Saturday night in the Holiday Inn, It’s the deeply ground in love of seriously sorted german cars that attracts us all to the shows. It don’t matter if you’ve rolled up in a 6n Polo your nan gave you on your 18th birthday, it’s yours to polish and take pride in. Who cares if you can’t weald a spanner to save your life and just payed someone to fit a set of wheels, it still looks dope. Regardless of what unannounced hour G-werks turns up to grace us all with their utterly show stopping array of prept automobilia, you only have to flick through the pix below to appreciate the time, effort and sheer dedication that some people have for this scene.

Here’s to another year of shows, another morning of headaches and another season chasing the incurable desire for the perfect ride.

Happy dayz.

There was a show?? didnt notice :-)

Top weekend fella’s and a monster session in the bar as per.
The 20v ran like a dream, exept for my driving skill at times and I wished I’d made more effort over the winter.
Only Noticed in the pics too, that Carl “The Player” Taylor had different sets of wheels fitted to each side of L99SER!!
